The Control Line Tech Committee is organising a two-day Festival of Flight showcasing all aspects of Control Line model flying. Over in the aerobatics circles there will be an advanced aerobatics model ready for (competent
pilot only) you to fly and experience the feel of a competition standard model.
If you already fly CL bring your models and come and fly with us and perhaps try out the other CL disciplines too. Want some technical advice e.g. model trimming or setting engines? Expert help and advice will be on hand.
In a group? Try some friendly rivalry by landing on the carrier deck, much harder than looks even for an expert.
The event precedes the annual Control Line Aerobatics Pilots Association [CLAPA] Championships; so an excellent weekend of CL aerobatics to be had by all. As part of the CLAPA Champs there is the Clubman event which allows for beginner aerobatic pilots to fly a reduced schedule and compete, achieve and still have fun.
And if you have never visited Buckminster its a great opportunity to come along and see the great facilities available.
See you there!
Oh – a CL plus: CL flyers are exempt from CAA Registration.
